what is this?
pubhubsubhub is a data aggregator which can deliver your "topics of your interests" to you as Instant Messages.
You can almost consider it as an RSS Reader with the convenience of an IM.
Sending /s trends will simply subscribe you to the trending topics on Twitter(tm) automatically. pubhubsubhub will deliver relevant content to you, you don't have to go out looking for it.

Very very simple steps.
- Add pubhubsubhub@appspot.com as a friend in your GTalk / Jabber client. (GTalk widget in GMail works as well)
- Your new friend pubhubsubhubis at your service now.
- Issue your subscriptions (topics of interest, search etc).*Details below.
- And now, stop browsing around and go back to work. When the time is right, you will receive something about what you asked for.
- You may not get results right away. Think of it as a magazine subscription. Do you get the old issues when you subscribe? Same idea. You will get IM results as they become available.
pubhubsubhub Commands
If you start your instant message(IM) to pubhubsubhub with / (forward slash) it will be considered a command. pubhubsubhub is not very chatty, please don't get offended if you don't get appropriate responses to your non-command IMs
Commands:
/subscribe (or /s)
/subscribe Amazon
/s "Lady Gaga"
/s trends
title and summary are searchable fields. They're essentially the same.
/list (or /l)
/list
/l
You will receive a message back with a list of your topics.
/unsubscribe (or /u)
/unsubscribe 1
/u 7
/u trends
The numbers indicate the index of your subscription. These are the numbers provided /list command.
